The Government has confirmed changes to workplace pension laws from 1st October 2012. These will require all employers to designate a pension scheme into which all employees , aged between 22 and state pension age, should be enroled if they earn 7,475 pounds or more. The minimum mandatory employer contribution is 8% of qualifying band earnings of which at least 3% must come from the employer.
